Here are some Seasonal Decorating Tips
Start with a Clean Slate
Remove ALL previous seasons’ decorations first. Go through your home and then double-check, and have someone else with a fresh set of eyes look as well. Inevitably, I will find a random hand towel or decoration a month later that I missed, and that’s ok. By removing all of the previous season’s decor first, it gives you a really clean and clear palette to start with. You can read our Seasonal Storage Tips post to get ideas and inspiration for storing your items.

Identify Areas to Decorate
I have the same few areas that I decorate each season, which include:

The Front Porch

Entryway Table & Mirror

Coffee Bar

Dining Room

Other Areas
Do Not Overcomplicate It!
Decorating should be FUN! And it should definitely not be stressful. As much as we would like to have it decorated like Joanna Gaines or Martha Stewart, that does not happen too often. It is ok to use the same decorations for years, you do not need to buy new ones constantly. Do not stress if you do not have many items, often less is more.
The point is to make your home feel good. That could mean taking 10 minutes to swap out a few items, or it could be an entire weekend of decorating your home from top to bottom. What YOU want to do is what matters, and I know that no matter what that is, it will be great.
